SembCorp Marine, a unit of SembCorp Industries, says its first quarter net profit jumped 81 percent to S$73.7 million.
This was driven mainly by its rig building, ship conversion, offshore and ship repair businesses.
Revenue rose 91 percent to S$954 million.
The results were largely in line with expectations.
SembMarine has a net order book of S$7.5 billion, with completion and deliveries up to 2010.
This includes new orders of S$2.9 billion secured since the start of this year.
Looking ahead, SembMarine says it expects the current year's overall performance to be strong based on the scheduled completion of projects as well as strong market fundamentals.
Overall, SembMarine expects to continue to benefit from further growth in all the offshore and marine sectors.
